What have you LOVED about 6th grade math?
What has been your favorite part of 6th grade math? A certain topic, activity, song (“x then y” or “PEMDAS”?), dry erase boards, the SMARTboard, or something else we did in class?
“Close to Zero” Game
Has anyone tried playing this game at home with someone in your family or a friend? How did it go?
Remember, you only need a deck of playing cards to play… and it’s fun!
Integers: positive and negative numbers
Think of 6 integers. Put them in order from least to greatest. Then write the opposites of those integers and put in order from least to greatest.
Math in your World
Have you seen something we’ve learned about somewhere out in the “real world” (outside of school)? The other day I saw that a Wendy’s bag had how many different combinations of different hamburger toppings you could come up with!
